Is custom cabinetry right for your project?
Ronan Cabinet & Customs specializes in fully custom, built-to-fit cabinetry rather than stock or semi-custom cabinet installation. If your primary goal is finding the lowest-cost cabinetry option, a stock or semi-custom supplier will usually be a better fit.
-
Custom cabinetry varies significantly based on size, materials, construction style, finish, hardware and installation requirements. Smaller custom projects may begin in the several-thousand-dollar range, while larger built-ins, libraries and whole-room projects commonly reach five figures. We provide project-specific pricing after reviewing your scope, photos and dimensions.
-
Custom cabinetry is designed and built specifically for your space rather than selected from predetermined sizes and finishes. Each project involves individual design, material selection, fabrication, finishing, hardware, delivery, and installation. The result is cabinetry tailored to the architecture of the room and built to a level of fit and finish that stock or semi-custom products generally cannot provide.
-
The largest factors are overall size, construction style, materials, finish, hardware, and design complexity. Painted versus stained finishes, inset construction, specialty woods, integrated lighting, decorative trim, unusual dimensions, and custom interior features can all affect the final cost. Simpler designs and standard materials typically keep a project toward the lower end of the range.

We do not have a strict linear-foot minimum, but our shop is generally best suited to projects with an overall budget of $5,000 or more. For very small cabinetry needs or projects where minimizing cost is the primary goal, stock or semi-custom cabinetry may be a better fit.
-
Yes. A realistic budget is actually helpful during the planning process because it allows us to recommend materials, construction details, and design choices that make sense for the project. If the desired scope and budget are too far apart, we will be upfront about that before moving further into the process.
-
We review the information you provide, including photos, approximate dimensions, inspiration, project location, and budget. If the project appears to be a good fit, we will contact you to discuss the scope in more detail and determine the next step. From there, qualified projects move into consultation, design and estimating before a formal proposal is prepared.
